Back in Seattle, WA

Had to fly back to SeaTac from Flint, MI for a Construction Workers Christian Fellowship (CWCF) Board meeting that was scheduled for Aug. 24-27 at The Refuge in Brinnon, WA ( for links to websites  - click on  the names of organizations).

Met the rest of the Board members, their wives and a few administrative staff at the Red Robin in Olympia for a quick bite to eat before heading up Hwy 101 towards Hoodsport. After a wonderful and scenic drive along the winding road we finally arrived at our designated spot.

This is the only indication that a lodge is tucked in somewhere in the woods

Really solid and rustic lodge with modern amenities. The site is about 2 miles from the main highway and deep into the woods which really hushes the outside world making for nature's sounds such as the chirping of birds and rustling of the leaves and even swoosh of the steady cool breeze.

What a view of the majestic mountains

The Board had many items on the agenda to tackle before the weeks end so no time was wasted in getting down to business. A lot of prayer time was allotted during the whole weekend which helped all of us keep on track and focused on the main issues that needed to be addressed.

Sumptuous meals and other refreshments were prepared by our wives and other CWCF administrative/office volunteers.  Not all work for the wives though since they also had other fun activities scheduled for the weekend.

With the weekend coming to a close and all the ministry's business being attended to, it was amazing to see and witness how our Lord could get a gathering of such diversified individuals and personalities together to form a Board focused on serving the ministry's many needs. It is such a humbling experience to be part of an incredibly articulate and knowledgeable group of men who are sincere in their Faith and hold true to the verse in Mathew 28: 19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Continued blessings to ALL
