More friends to visit on the East Coast

We were greeted by a double rainbow as we arrived at Maxine's home
From the "Rock" we had planned to visit Carol's long time Philippine golfing buddy in Springfield Massachusetts. Maxine and Carol had known each other since they were teenagers and had the passion of golf in them. They played a mean game of golf then and still do now, only a lot slower 😄 It was a fun time visiting with Maxine and her daughter as she toured us around  town and even took a quick trip to New York City to visit her folks whom Carol is close with. It certainly was a wonderful surprise when they still remembered her and spoke about the "old days". We then proceeded to a favorite Chinese restaurant known for their dimsum  dishes, Yummy!!.

All smiles with full bellies
The visit would not have been complete if they had not play at least a round of golf - well they played TWO rounds and simply enjoyed it.

While the girls played, I had the RV's sagging rear springs fixed at a repair shop that was rather phenomenal in customer care and attention; she now rides as good as new! We certainly could not leave Springfield without visiting the local "Friendly's" Ice Cream shop, such a comfort food that we will never get tired of!!

To stay on schedule we had to say our goodbyes and left to visit with another of Carol's friends who lived in Fallston, Maryland. Emily and Carol had worked together in a prestigious golf course while in the Philippines and had always kept in touch here in the USA and even had the opportunity to visit us while we were still in Fairbanks, AK. Did not take us long to get to Emily's place which was situated in a quiet and gated community.

Emily and Todd (hubby) were waiting for us on their driveway with warm hugs and handshakes. Sat at their porch and admired their manicured garden in the late afternoon while the girls caught up on the latest with family and friends. And true to her style, Emily being a great cook started to get dinner ready which we all eagerly anticipated

The girls decided to visit a very well known and quite interesting garden with all sorts of
sculptured plants and bushes. I elected to stay and get other things done that were long overdue. Another exquisite dinner by Chef Emily was prepared while we watched golf on TV. After dinner we went to a local ice cream shop for scoops of deliciousness.

Next day we were off to the mall to get some things and then dinner at a local establishment that had a pizza called "Duck, Duck, Goose". This was an interesting but delightful twist to a duck dish served Italian style.

Thanks for all the hospitality and great times to both Maxine , Emily and their families.  Friends are easy to make but when these girls get together after a long time and never miss a beat - this is FAMILY!  Looking forward to the next time and hoping it will be soon.

Blessings to all
