Weekend Getaway

After working the week and joining the Saturday men's workday at Vassar Victory Church, Carol and I headed back up to Grayling MI to be with our long time friends Dave and Judy. Since we did not really spend time with them last weekend - we promised that we would return the following weekend and listen to Dave give the message at their local church. In turn, they had promised us a day of fishing, BBQ and kayaking on the Au Sable river that flows right through their property! 

 

What a wonderful time that was as we silently floated down the river, perfect kayaking weather as we enjoyed the beauty of the landscapes, the friendly neighbors along the river, the plentiful birds and not to mention the great company. We had a "boatload" of fun and look forward to the next time Lord willing we will be able to visit Dave and Judy and Cloe real soon.
